Project Overview

Dentsu has sponsored the “Training Course in Eco-Communication for the Revitalization of Mt. Fuji” for college students since fiscal 2005. This program is designed to train young people to become environmental leaders in Japan and overseas by teaching them eco-communication and eco-management related to Mt. Fuji. In the curriculum for fiscal 2008—the fourth year for the program—students conducted research on individual topics throughout the year, reported the results at academic conferences or other meetings, and publicized their findings. Students also interned with environment-focused NPOs, and received practical training at overseas natural parks to promote research founded on hands-on experience. A total of 210 students have taken the course to date.
