Corporate Social Responsibility: Basic Policies
Dentsu Group Code of Conduct was finalized in October 2004, revised in January 2010, and serves as a standard for the entire Dentsu Group and through it we are promoting corporate social responsibility (CSR). At Dentsu, CSR not only addresses issues of legal compliance, environmental protection, protection of human rights, social contribution, workplace safety and hygiene, creating an internal control system, but it also involves undertaking independent initiatives that reflect economic, environmental and social needs, addressing the interests of all stakeholders.
Dentsu also believes that the promotion of CSR activities will help to promote sustainable development, build a better society and stimulate its economic growth, while enhancing our reputation for trustworthiness and strengthening our competitiveness as we strive to create "Good Innovation."
In July 2008, we established an internal committee for the deliberation of environment-related strategies chaired by the President. This committee is coordinating specific initiatives for the Dentsu Group to actively promote our environmental strategies. Furthermore, in April 2009, we established the CSR Committee which is strengthening the system for all of our CSR activities.
