Overview of 1H FY2010 and
Future Management Policies
- With our efforts in enhancing our client services structure in the digital domain coming to fruition, the earnings in this domain for the first half exceeded those of last year. Regarding media placements, the growth in the mobile media segment and the SEM-related services segment contributed to the overall increase in earnings while the digital solutions sector showed expansion as well. We have also succeeded in adding new client accounts.
- Furthermore, as announced on October 1, Dentsu Inc. and Dentsu Digital Holdings Inc. jointly established the Dentsu Digital Fund. Through this fund we will expand the Group's digital-related business activities, both in Japan and the global arena.
- There is one more exciting new development that I would like to share with you. As announced earlier this week, Dentsu has partnered with Apple Inc. to bring the iAdSM mobile advertising service to Japan, and will be responsible for the selling and creative execution of iAds in Japan. I was delighted that Apple, a very influential company, appointed Dentsu as its partner in the Japanese market on the strength of our achievements in the digital arena.
The Dentsu Group will continue to engage in a wide range of initiatives.
