(3) Key Tasks and Management Strategies

Advertising expenditures in Japan are forecast to continue gradually expanding over the medium term, and market shares by media are expected to change. Internet proliferation and growing broadband access are creating shifts in the media environment and distribution channels. As consumer spending changes with these shifts, our clients' marketing issues grow more sophisticated and complex. These clients look to advertising agencies to provide integrated services that appropriately solve the issues they face.

To sustain its growth in such a changing environment, the Dentsu Group must remain the choice as “A Partner in Creating Value,” by continuing to expand on its core business, the domestic advertising market, while at the same time, growing its businesses in advertising-related markets, the content market and overseas markets-the four markets. As we work toward this goal, we will emphasize activities in the promotion, interactive, sports marketing and overseas businesses, which we expect to be our drivers of growth.
a. Strengthening and Expanding the Promotion Business
b. Reinforcing and Enhancing the Interactive Business
c. Creating Demand through Sports Marketing
d. Reinforcing and Enhancing Overseas Business
e. Ongoing Implementation of Management Reforms
f. CSR Activities
