3.  Corporate Information
a  Q:  When was Dentsu founded?
A:  Japan Advertising Ltd. was established in July 1901, while Telegraphic Service Co. was founded in November of the same year. In December 1906, Telegraphic Service Co. was renamed Japan Telegraphic Communication Co., Ltd., and in August 1907, it merged with Japan Advertising Ltd. The resulting company began using the name Dentsu Advertising Ltd. in July 1955. The company changed its name to Dentsu Incorporated in April 1978, and then to Dentsu Inc., its current name, in September 1987.
