Implementation of Early Retirement
Incentive Plan D
Dentsu Inc. (President: Tateo Mataki; Head Office: Tokyo; Capital: 58,967.1 million yen ) will implement an early retirement incentive program called Early Retirement Incentive Plan D, targeted at employees over 45 years of age,and will solicit applications from them beginning August 1, 2002.
The objective of this plan is to make more options available to employees in an effort to assist them with self-realization. Prospective applicants may take advantage of guidance provided through a newly created counseling office for career and life development and a counseling office for reemployment opportunities.
Details of the solicitation and application appear below.
1. Eligibility: Employees who will be between 45 and 59 years of age and will have been in service for 15 years or more on October 31, 2002.
2. Period in which applications will be solicited: From August 1, 2002 to September 13, 2002.
3. Date of retirement: October 31, 2002
4. Number of applications sought: 200
5. Impact on financial statements
Special retirement benefits to be paid out in conjunction with this early retirement incentive plan will be accounted for in the financial results for the fiscal 2002 term, ending March 31, 2003, as extraordinary losses. The extent of the impact on the financial performance will not be announced until a later time when the number of applications to be submitted and the aggregate amount of special retirement benefits become finalized.
