Dentsu Communications Workshop
Every year, the Dentsu Communications Workshop is held in five locations across Japan; Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka and Sapporo. At this workshop, professionals in the advertising world provide the latest information on advertising and communications. The predecessor to these workshops was the "Summer Advertising Workshop" that began in 1934. The workshop was discontinued during and immediately after the Second World War, but was relaunched in 1949. The first postwar workshop covered such topics as "The Science of Advertising," "Public Relations," "A Survey and Analysis of the Recent Advertising Market" and "The Enterprise of Commercial Broadcasting," offering a refreshing new look into the advertising industry. In 1987 the content turned more practical and the workshops were reborn as the "Dentsu Communications Workshop," offering a higher level of specialization suited for the creation of intellectual property in a new age. |
