She lives with her daughter and son in São Paulo city, but was born in Porto Alegre in the south of the country. From the age of 5 until her twenties she had done more than thirty city changes. While some used to complain, she was always the first to be ready to go, facing the change as an opportunity to meet new people and know other places and cultures. Because of all these changes she was able to live in different regions from Brazil and in Toronto, Canada. She loves to return to these places specially to Rio and Recife to meet her old friends and feel at home again.
This phase of her life made her learn to adapt constantly and that is why she likes to quote Mark Twain:
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So, throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
