John Stauffer leads DEG's cross-discipline strategy team with an emphasis in designing and executing winning direct-to-consumer programs for major consumer goods brands across the Dentsu portfolio. He leads teams of commerce strategists as well as relationship marketing, social media, paid media, consumer research strategists. In his time at DEG, John build and launched a new strategic planning framework for the agency designed to serve as a common operating system for creative, strategy, and technology teams all working together on commerce initiatives.
Prior to DEG, John was the Regional Strategy Director at Ogilvy where he focused on advancing the portfolio across CPG, auto, and retail clients. He won a Cannes Lion for his work on Ford Motor Company, launched new communities for DuPont and IBM, and trained dozens of retail and CPG client CEOs on social and digital media. All while turning a nascent social media team into a network of 700 strategists across the globe.
Previously, John lived and worked in Hong Kong serving as the Regional Strategy Director for Ogilvy in Asia Pacific, working to grow the digital and social community across 23 markets in the APAC region.
