Dan Bye appointed as Managing Director – Group Strategy
Dentsu has today announced the appointment of Dan Bye as Managing Director – Group Strategy for New Zealand. His role will be responsible for growing the strategic offering for dentsu across New Zealand, including leading a multi-disciplinary team of strategists across channel and creative capability.
Bye joins dentsu from Clemenger Group, where he was most recently Group Director of Strategy, leading integrated strategic services across 99, Raydar and BrandWorld, as well as heading up the Skinny account through Colenso BBDO.
With over 17 years’ experience in strategic marketing and communications, Bye began his career in London, working in client-side marketing roles with Pepsi and Orange before moving agency-side. He has spent the last ten years leading the development of highly effective and globally awarded campaigns for international creative agencies, such as M&C Saatchi, Leo Burnett and OMD in Sydney.
His work has seen him recognised as one of the top 10 planning directors globally in 2016 and 2017, as well as winning the inaugural WARC Prize for Innovation in 2016.

Bye commenced in the role at the end of February, replacing Claire Bradbourne who departs at the end of March. He reports into Robert Harvey, dentsu NZ Chief Executive Officer.
