Deric currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of dentsu China, leading the group business into its next era of sustainable growth and transformation which includes driving the integration of its media, creative and CXM service lines and strengthening their go-to-market capabilities and innovation to drive values for clients in China.
Deric is a true champion of meaningful progress. He has held senior leadership roles across the Greater China region since 2007 where he has built strong commercial record and reputation for delivering commercial growth, driving award winning work and building world leading agency capabilities to deliver integrated strategies (traditional and digital), media ROI, content solutions, data analytics and ad-tech consultancy. He has served across many sectors for the world’s most reputable brands such as HSBC, DBS, Daimler, VW, Nissan, Estee Lauder Companies, Apple, McDonald’s, PepsiCo, J&J, Nestle, Danone, Dairy Farm International, Unilever and FedEx.
Prior to joining dentsu China, Deric was with Omnicom Media Group for almost 14 years where he held the OMG Hong Kong group CEO role since 2018 from his prior posts as Hong Kong CEO of OMG agency’s OMD between 2016 and 2018 and as Managing Partner in China from 2014 through 2016. Prior to OMG, Deric has worked for Leo Burnett Hong Kong and General Mills in the UK.
Deric is a strong advocate for creativity and innovation. Over the years, he has led his teams to receive hundreds of awards and multiple industry recognitions including "Integrated Marketing Agency," "Media Agency of the year," "Digital Agency," "Programmatic Agency," and "Performance Agency" and "Search Agency" by both Marketing Magazine and Campaign Asia Pacific. He has also served as a jury at awards festivals including CANNES, Spikes Asia, Festival of Media Global, Greater China EFFIE, ONE show, China ROI awards and Asian E-tailing Awards by HKTDC. In 2018, Deric was awarded by the US based publication “The Internationalist” as 2018 Agency Innovator. He was also recognized by Campaign Asia in 2013 and 2019 as one of the ‘40 under 40 Unsung Heroes’ who pushed the boundaries of advertising and media.
