Creative Director, dentsu Southeast Europe

Are you the person to push creative boundaries, ignite passion for brands with beautiful executions of creative work, and set a creative vision? We want you to join as our dentsu Southeast Europe Creative Director!

In this role, you will be leading an integrated creative team in Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia and across the Adriatic markets, and owning the creative strategy development to produce differentiating ideas for our clients to grow. 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Delivers integrated communications solutions, creative platforms, and executions
  • Realises the strategic direction and creative vision of the agency across the region
  • Works closely with the Southeast Europe’s Business Directors and Strategy leads to develop differentiating and original creative concepts and award-winning creative work to impact a client’s business to great effect
  • Takes ownership for the delivery of the client’s brand vision while ensuring the creative product meets strategic goals and client expectations 
  • Provides creative leadership to new business activities when necessary 
  • Creatively supports the effective use of technology and its applications to solve business challenges
  • Champions, defines and feeds back on the creative process and output, quality of briefs, regular reviews, feedback channels, creative quality and collaboration 
  • Leads the creative team through regular work reviews, check-ins, goal planning and training. Mentors’ direct reports, creates a supportive culture and encourages people to consistently excel
  • Participation in the Southeast Europe executive team, reporting to CEE (Central and East Europe) Creative Lead

Experience & Expertise

  • Considerable leadership experience (+8 years), developed in a relevant media business or creative environment, that evidences a strong understanding of budgets, forecasting and financial controls, including ownership of profit and loss; project management, and resource allocation.
  • Excellent knowledge of Romanian advertising and marketing landscape, any considerable experience from Bulgarian and Croatian landscapes is considered as an advantage.
  • An exceptional track record of the development of successful creative and production development partnerships. 
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of creative opportunities, how to identify, prioritise and pursue them to contract through the ability to negotiate partnerships at a senior level. 
  • Strong experience in the fields of creativity, vision, and ability to deliver big ideas from strategy development to execution.
  • Good comfort level interacting with high-profile clients and industry professionals
  • Familiarity with a variety of software programs. 
  • Talent in presenting information concisely and accurately, with keen attention to detail.

  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, presentational and pitching skills combined with the ability to influence at all levels, and in complex stakeholder environments.
  • Ability to influence, engage and motivate highly talented people to inspire great performance across departments
  • A collaborative management style and an excellent people manager who can delegate responsibilities effectively; demonstrated by leadership in managing teams - setting clear objectives and managing performance.
