Dentsu has been awarded the 2021 Agency of the Year award in the prestigious Google Honours program.

The award recognises the achievements of the very best Performance marketing agencies and providers across Australia and New Zealand – with more than 35 agencies participating in the program in its fifth year running, ending Omnicom’s Resolution Digital’s 3-year winning streak.

Sue Squillace, CEO dentsu Media ANZ said of the acknowledgement: “This is a huge result and I’m very proud of all the media teams that were involved across our agencies and markets.  To achieve this over 35 other agencies who participated is a tremendous effort, and importantly it’s reflective of amazing outcomes for our clients.”

Andrew Macdonald, dentsu’s National Head of Paid Search & Social added: “In what was a challenging year for our search teams, they showed their energy, passion, and commitment to collaboration, driving constant learnings and improvement in our work which was brought to life in the 55 case studies that were submitted throughout the year.”

Dentsu also won the Agency of the Quarter for Q2 and 3 individual awards throughout the year with Peter Young, Clare Graham and Ryan Roberts all being recognised for their individual contributions.

To qualify, Performance marketing agencies were invited to enter the Awards and were measured against specific product metrics indicative of best practice – metrics designed to deliver the best possible business results for clients.
