Marketing and Communications Manager

By joining dentsu as our Marketing and Communications Manager, you will be building on the legacy of a 120-year-old company with its vision set to invite our clients to the never before. We are looking for a person who can lead executive communications, media relations and thought leadership for lead dentsu Southeast Europe markets – Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia. 

In this role, you will support dentsu and its leadership team to develop marketing strategy and implementation guidance for dentsu and its agency brands – Carat, iProspect, dentsuX, Isobar; to build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and to support market senior leadership to drive and deliver on all public relations strategy. 

You will oversee the development and execution of plans, proposals, reports, creative briefs, and other communication deliverables; will increases awareness and will elevate visibility of the network, its leadership and clients in a way that is authentic, forward-thinking, and bold. 

You will work collaboratively across all agency brands and within dentsu to ensure dentsu leadership teams receive the best integrated public relations and communications solutions for further development of their business. In this role, you are part of the regional Communications Team and the dentsu’s Global Communications Network.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Plan, implement and manage dentsu Southeast Europe communications strategy
  • Determines opportunities to develop and execute comprehensive communications plans, to support overall growth plans and communications objectives
  • Owns the external website, internal website, and social media channels of dentsu Southeast Europe and develops, creates and edits engaging content for each one of them 
  • Enable long-term, sustainable growth through targeted content and relationship management through digital platforms (including social media, website, email, display, search, events), with attributable demand generation. 
  • Plans, implements, and manage internal communications; foster highly engaged employees to enable growth through a strategic internal communication 
  • Develop and implement crisis communications advice and media strategy, as needed
  • Develops and manages partnerships and alliances in business, trade, and media
  • Secures opportunities for executives and top talent for press hits, thought leadership opportunities and speaking engagements. Offers turnkey prep materials and guidance
  • Ideates, writes, and executes best-in-class thought leadership to support our narrative, our leaders and new business
  • Monitor corporate image frequently and ensure it is in compliance with company brand 
  • Determine KPIs for Marketing and Communications activities

Experience & Expertise

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the field of marketing & communications and public relations preferably in a highly matrix, global organization with progressive management and leadership responsibility at the senior manager/director level.
  • Excellent knowledge across the Southeast European media market landscape and especially Romania, Bulgaria, and Croatia
  • Solid experience coordinating successful PR campaigns and social impact programs
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with confidence to serve as the company’s spokesperson
  • Expertise in different social networks and web platforms
  • Creative abilities and ownership of channels, for example, the website
  • Creative insight to formulate strategies into actions.
  • Strong leadership skills, complemented by interpersonal skills and team-player attitude
  • Fluent in written / spoken English, additionally preferably Romanian, also Bulgarian and/or Croatian are seen as bonus
