Liam McDonnell
Chief Executive, dentsu, Ireland
Liam oversees and is responsible for all aspects of the dentsu business in Ireland. He brings great experience to the role and has been working in media, advertising and marketing communications for more than thirty years. Having started his career as a media buyer with Ireland’s first independent specialist agency The Media Bureau, he has gone on to hold board positions with Saatchi & Saatchi, Irish International BBDO and All Ireland Media.
During this time he has worked on a wide array of local and international business categories including Automotive, Beverages, Confectionery, Finance, FMCG, Retail, Recruitment, Telecoms and Utilities. His direct client experience includes The AA, Bank of Ireland, Coca Cola, C&C, Diageo, eir, laya healthcare, Proctor & Gamble, the Mars Corporation, The Euro Changeover Board of Ireland, The Referendum Commission and Vodafone.
He has served as a board member and then President of the Institute of Advertising Practitioners of Ireland, was a member of the council of the Marketing Society of Ireland, the board of the Advertising Benevolent Society, the advisory board of Goal and is a Fellow and current board member of The Marketing Institute of Ireland.
