Dentsu Austria continues its transformation
Dentsu Austria is working continuously on the optimisation and alignment of the Group in order to create simplified structures to offer clients bespoke and integrated services. For example, the three service lines, Media, Customer Experience Management (CXM) and Creative, in which experts are pooled across brands, have now been launched globally. As such, dentsu is pursuing its transformation towards ‘one:dentsu’; a journey from a previously very brand-driven structure to a content-focused organisation.
- As part of this development, dentsu’s Austrian management has undergone a reorganisation. Jakob Schönherr, who, to date, has been the Managing Director of media.at and dentsu X has been appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO). In this function, he will be responsible for all activities and results of the dentsu Group in Austria.
- Herbert Pratter has assumed the newly created position of Chief Operating Officer Media. In this new role he is responsible for the process-related and structural further development of the media business of dentsu Austria. He has additionally taken on the position of Managing Director of iProspect Austria.
- Marion Hengl has been named Chief Commercial Officer Media. She will be further expanding the Media Units Planning & Implementation, Investment Management and Product areas which she currently manages and, in her new role, is also responsible for all of dentsu Austria’s commercial media activities.
- Mathias Fanschek will continue to manage CXM and Creative. The merger of isobar Austria, isobar Switzerland and Namics Germany/Switzerland to form Merkle DACH will create a leading player in customer experience management, data-driven creativity and marketing technology.
Global simplification of the business model and brand portfolio means that the operational agency brands Carat, media.at, dentsu X and iProspect will in the future operate with their integrated offering in the Media Service Line and report directly to dentsu CEO Jakob Schönherr. Vizeum is to be integrated into the local dentsu X at the end of the second quarter; this will scale the complementary competencies from both agencies into a holistic and even more impressive agency offering.
Katarina Stanisavljevic, Managing Director of Carat Austria and Sebastian Rosinus, Managing Director of iProspect Austria, both played a key role in shaping the transformation of dentsu Austria over the past years. Katarina Stanisavljevic has held managerial positions in several countries for dentsu and has successfully promoted the media business worldwide. Sebastian Rosinus has been fundamental in establishing and further developing data and performance offerings in Austria and around the world in recent years. Both have, however, decided to leave dentsu to take on new challenges.
Ulrike Handel, CEO dentsu DACH & Germany: “With this transformation process, we want to sharpen the focus of our business at market level and realign in order to react more quickly and flexibly to our clients’ requirements and to exploit market opportunities to the fullest extent. I am really looking forward to working together with the management team led by Jakob, Marion, Herbert and Mathias as well as to joint future success on the Austrian market. At the same time, I would also like to express sincere gratitude to Katarina and Sebastian. Following many years of dedication, they are handing over sustainably successful agencies and are highly valued colleagues. We would like to wish them both the very best for the future.”
Jakob Schönherr, CEO dentsu Austria: “The structural further development of dentsu in Austria and the consistent offering resulting from the international realignment is rooted in our clear commitment to customer service. The one:dentsu positioning which we have been driving forward for many years will serve to support and advance our customers' business with integrated service offerings in the fields of data, technology and creative in the long term. I am looking forward to continuing to shape the success of dentsu Austria together with my colleagues on the management board and the entire dentsu team as well as to further expanding our offering and thus creating decisive advantages in terms of transformation, especially for our clients.”
