As Chief Creative Officer, Chris Chen is responsible for leading and integrating the creative teams in dentsu China Creative Service line. He is tasked with delivering superior quality work, developing new creative products, offerings and supporting the agencies creative culture beyond day-to-day client engagements. He also supports and promotes the agency brand and sets the tone for its creative philosophy and excellency.
Chris Chen has more than 28 years’ experience in the advertising industry, with 19 focused on digital marketing. He founded Trio Digital in 1999, before it was acquired by Isobar in 2013. After joining the network, Chris continued as CEO & ECD of Trio Isobar, taking charge of the creative duties and operations of the company and was appointed as Chief Creative Officer of Isobar China Group in January 2018.
Chris is the winner of Campaign Greater China Creative Person of the Year 2019, and Greater China Agency Head of the Year 2016. Chris and his team have won more than 150 awards across the world, Asia, and China, including Cannes Gold Lion, LIA, gold in Spikes Asia, Digital Creative/Media Agency of the Year at ROI Festival, Greater China Most Effective Agency Network of the Year at Effie. He has been jury at renowned awards including Cannes Lions Festival, New York Ad Festival, Spikes Asia, and D&AD.
Chris studied interactive design in School of Visual Art in New York and believes that the key to successful digital communication is not only about creative and technical skills, but the integration of brand strategies, interactive experience and innovative technology.
Creative to the core, Chris was one of the pioneers of R&B and Acid Jazz music in Taiwan. He contributed to a lot of well-known music albums and his band ‘Why Not’ was shortlisted in Taiwan Golden Melody Awards. Chris was also the host and consultant of the first ever daily TV show focusing on the Internet in Taiwan.
