Frequently asked questions

Why am I being asked to complete this assessment?

Ensuring that our suppliers comply with the law is essential for demonstrating our own compliance with the law not only to the Data Protection Supervisory Authority but also to our clients where our suppliers are used to support the services that we provide to them.

Is there a deadline for completing the assessment?

You can take as long as you like to complete the assessment, but until the assessment has been completed, and you have been approved as a supplier, you will not be able to commence working with the dentsu business.

How long is the assessment questionnaire?

The assessment questionnaire is made up of different modules designed to assess different areas of data protection and compliance law.  The number of sections that you will need to complete will depend on the complexity and number of services that you will be providing to dentsu.  However, most of the questions have predefined answers that you can select where they align with your business practices; otherwise you will be able to provide free text answers instead.

What if I do not know the answer to a question?

If you do not know the answer to a question, or you do not understand a question, then please seek advice from your professional advisers before submitting the assessment. If you think a question is not relevant to your company or to the service you are providing, then please indicate this in the appropriate place and justify your response.

What happens if I do not complete the questionnaire?

You will not be able to commence work with dentsu until the assessment have been submitted and you have been approved as a supplier.

What happens once I have submitted my answers?

Once you have submitted your answers, the assessment will be stored in OneTrust, which is a cloud-based compliance management platform, that we use to safely collect, store, and analyse your responses. The information that you provide will be reviewed by our internal subject matter experts who will take one of the following actions:

  1. Contact you for more information or clarification if there is anything that they do not understand.
  2. Send a follow up information security questionnaire where this is required for personal data processing activities.
  3. Approve you as a supplier.
  4. Reject you as a supplier.  Reasons for that rejection will be provided.

Who do I contact with questions about the assessment process?

We provide guidance and prompts within the assessment, but if you have any questions or feedback about the assessment process then please do not hesitate to get in touch with your key contact at dentsu who will be able to help you. We are unable to provide you with legal or technical advice so if you have such a question, you’ll need to seek advice internally or from your professional advisers.

Will I be re-assessed again in the future?

We periodically ask you to review the information you’ve provided to ensure it remains accurate and up-to-date. If you start supplying new products or services, then we may need to ask additional questions in the future about those other products or services.

Can I get a copy of the assessment?

We can provide you with a copy of the responses you gave to the questions asked in the assessment. Just let us know if this is the case.
