Dentsu Aegis Network today announces the appointment of Anna Easton as Global Head of Social Impact

Anna joins Dentsu Aegis Network from a 14-year tenure at BT, where she held positions as Head of PR & Communications, Director of Communications, and most recently as Sustainable Business Director.

Anna is an award-winning Strategy and Communications Director and brings very strong expertise in creating and delivering transformational programmes and integrated campaigns with demonstrable business impact and reputational benefit. Anna is a true thought leader and is Senior Associate at the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, where she acts in an advisory capacity and ambassador for key initiatives.

Anna joins the business on 17 September 2018 and will report into Nigel Morris, Dentsu Aegis Network Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer. She will be responsible for overseeing all activities relating to the vision for Dentsu Aegis Network’s social purpose to create a Digital Economy that Works for All, in support of the organisation’s strategy to become a 100% Digital Economy Business by 2020.

Nigel Morris, Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer, Dentsu Aegis, said: “As we remain focused on becoming a 100% Digital Economy business by 2020, we are equally committed to ensuring the digital economy works for everyone. The digitisation of the economy and society has created progress in many areas but that progress has not been equally shared. We are on a mission to use our skills and capabilities to improve digital access and skills, mentor future digital leaders without established networks, and to help causes generate much-needed support to create impact. Our social purpose is intrinsically linked to our strategy but also to the ambition and passion of our people. Every day our people are making a difference and I am confident that under Anna’s leadership, we can do even more to make a real social impact around the world.”

Anna Easton, Global Head of Social Impact, Dentsu Aegis, commented: “Technology is fundamentally changing the way that society behaves – what people want, how they learn, how they connect. The opportunities are endless. But there are challenges we need to overcome. Data integrity, security and perceived complexity are all barriers to progress. As a global leader in media and digital communications, Dentsu Aegis Network has deep insight into how people are engaging with the emerging digital economy. I have been very impressed with Dentsu Aegis’s commitment towards creating a digital economy that works for everyone. We have the skills, the relationships and the global reach to make a profound impact. I’m delighted to be joining such a talented and passionate network of people.”
