Appoints Paroma Dayal as Vice President – Sports, Gaming, eSports & Live Experiences

Dentsu continues to strengthen its Sports & Entertainment practice in India with the appointment of Paroma Dayal as Vice President – Sports, Gaming, eSports & Live Experiences. In her new role, Paroma will report to Rohit Potphode, Managing Partner - Sports, Gaming, eSports & Live Experiences, dentsu India and work closely with Yosuke Murai, Head of dentsu Sports & Entertainment, India, and the wider leadership team to drive revenue-led partnerships at the intersection of brands, culture, and audiences.

Paroma will lead partnerships across sports, gaming, esports and live experiences, driving sponsorship sales, new business development, and strategic deal closures. Her mandate includes building high-value brand–IP integrations and delivering insight-led, commercially strong solutions that create measurable business impact. With a focus on identifying the right brand–IP fit, she will scale culturally relevant partnerships that audiences genuinely connect with, creating long-term value for brands, fans, and the wider ecosystem. She will also work closely across dentsu’s media, creative, data, and content capabilities to deliver unified, cross-platform solutions.

With over 17 years of experience, Paroma brings a strong track record of building high-impact partnerships across leading platforms including Quora, MX Player, Viacom18, Star India, India Today, Network18, and NDTV. She has driven integrated brand collaborations across marquee properties such as MTV Roadies, MTV Splitsvilla, MTV Hustle, and MTV Unplugged, unlocking new revenue streams through innovative on-air, digital, and live integrations. At MX Player, she also worked on esports-led branded content IPs such as Gamers Den, further strengthening her expertise in evolving sports monetisation strategies. Her expertise spans branded content, sponsorships, influencer ecosystems, and integrated advertising across digital, television, and live platforms.

This appointment builds further on dentsu’s recent launch of its dedicated Sports & Entertainment division in India – its first dedicated market following the global rollout at Cannes Lions 2025. It reinforces the network’s focus on bridging culture and commerce through sports, esports, anime, influencer ecosystems, and content-driven experiences. Aligned with dentsu’s global ‘Transformative Creativity’ proposition, the practice aims to create culturally rooted, immersive IPs that drive fan engagement, creator collaboration, and measurable business growth.

Speaking on the appointment, Rohit Potphode said, “Paroma brings a wealth of domain expertise that will further strengthen our ability to deliver meaningful, high-impact solutions for our partners. She is widely recognised as an innovative revenue leader, with a proven track record of building award-winning partnerships and IPs while earning deep trust across the ecosystem. We are delighted to welcome her to the team.”

Yosuke Murai, added, "Paroma’s appointment marks an important step in strengthening our Sports & Entertainment ambitions in India. Her deep experience across sports, gaming, and entertainment will help us build culturally resonant partnerships that deliver real business impact for our clients. We are excited to welcome her to the team and look forward to accelerating our growth together.”

Paroma Dayal commented, “Sports, gaming, esports and live experiences today sit at the intersection of culture, community, and commerce. I’m excited to join Dentsu at a time when these ecosystems are redefining how brands engage with audiences. My focus will be on building integrated, insight-led partnerships that combine creativity, data and culture to drive meaningful connections between brands and consumers, unlock new revenue opportunities, and deliver long-term impact at scale.”
