A visionary with profound media expertise, Anita Kotwani is an industry veteran with over two decades of experience. Her ardent passion to evolve with the dynamic media ecosystem backed by strategic thinking, deeply rooted work ethos, and commitment to building strong relationships, make her the charismatic leader that she is. Anita’s uber-systematic approach, adopted to drive Carat’s record-breaking growth agenda for two years, is a testament to her expanded role of leading dentsu’s Media businesses across South Asia. In her new role, Anita oversees Carat, iProspect, dentsu X, Posterscope, and the media investment arm - Amplifi, working closely with global leadership teams to deliver end-to-end digital-first media solutions for clients. Furthermore, she continues to hold her position of CEO Carat India, besides leading the Gaming practice for the network in India, as part of which, she has also launched the Indianized version of the global gaming audience report for the Indian audience in partnership with MGEN Gaming.
As a future-focused leader, Anita is committed to enhancing digital transformation and innovation. Under her stewardship, the team has persistently excelled as industry stalwarts across online and offline media. Anita also strongly believes in creating an equitable and inclusive workplace. She practices gender diversity at all levels, offering equal opportunities for women in leadership positions as well.
Anita has also been an esteemed judge and jury for several new-age media awards. She has been a jury chair at various industry awards such as EMVIEs, Goafest, Kyoorius Awards, and Media ABBY Awards wherein she held the chair for two consecutive years. Recently, Anita won the title of the Agency Head of the year at the Campaign Agency of the Year 2022 Awards. She has been recorgnised in the Campaign India ‘Women Leading Change’ list earlier this year and captured the #25 spot on the list of ‘Impact Top 50 Influential Women’ of 2022, in media, marketing, and advertising. In 2018, Anita was on the ‘Women to watch out for’ list, while in 2019, she was #47 in ‘Impact Top 50 Influential Women’.
