Dominic Shine, Global Chief Technology Officer said:

“I am delighted to be joining the talented team at Dentsu Aegis at such an important time. The network’s pioneering leadership team recognises the necessity of innovative tech-enabled client solutions and the importance of harnessing the skills and capabilities that exist across the entire group. Dentsu Aegis is totally committed to maintaining a market leading position as a data-driven, platforms and solution business and to develop or acquire to deliver on this ambition. Last year’s acquisition of Merkle was a perfect example of this strategy in action. A key part of my approach, working closely with my Executive colleagues, will be to foster collaboration around the best people, ideas and technology solutions so that we can help our clients to navigate the rapidly evolving technology landscape and realise greater value.”

Dentsu Aegis is at the forefront of the industry in its shift to people-based marketing, and an unwavering commitment to its digital ambition and vision to ‘innovate the way brands are built’ has resulted in a number of strategic hires and acquisitions that have seen it outperform its peer group for the sixth consecutive year. The strategic acquisition of Merkle in August 2016, the largest independent data analytics CRM and performance marketing agency in the US, was game-changing for the Group’s capabilities in high quality data, analytics and CRM and also saw David Williams’ appointment to the Dentsu Aegis Executive. The top leadership team was further strengthened with Giulio Malegori’s appointment as CEO of the EMEA region in early 2017, and then the recent appointments of Nick Brien as CEO Americas & US and Nigel Morris as Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer have ensured that the Executive Team is designed with growth, transformation, and strategic innovation at its heart. Dominic Shine’s role as Global Chief Technology Officer will ensure that Dentsu Aegis Network is quickly and effectively leveraging emerging tech capabilities across its global network to ensure competitive advantage and continued market leadership.
