Dentsu ANZ accelerates data and AI strategy with appointment of Danica Bellchambers as Chief Data & Technology Officer

Dentsu ANZ announces the appointment of Danica Bellchambers as Chief Data & Technology Officer, commencing 11 May, reinforcing the company’s strategy to accelerate the way data, technology and AI are used to deliver impact for clients.

The newly created role brings together data, technology and AI as a core, horizontal capability across the business, deeply connected into dentsu’s Media, Creative, and Experience practices. Danica will focus on uniting and strengthening the significant data and technology talent that already exists across dentsu ANZ, building a more connected and cohesive data, technology and AI strategy.

Danica will also join the dentsu ANZ Executive Leadership Team, reflecting the strategic importance of data, technology and AI in shaping the future direction of the business.

Danica joins dentsu from Nine, where she was Head of Product, AI leading the organisation’s AI product strategy and overseeing the development and deployment of AI driven solutions across content, audience and commercial use cases. Prior to this, she held senior leadership roles at Clemenger BBDO, where she led data science and analytics capability for clients, embedding advanced analytics and AI into marketing and creative solutions at scale.

She is a recognised leader in her field, having been named in B&T’s 2025 Top 10 Best of the Best Chief Product & Technology Officers, and winning the 2024 B&T Women in Media Award in the Tech category. Danica holds a Master of Applied Analytics, supported by advanced qualifications in artificial intelligence.

In her new role, Danica will draw on the best of dentsu’s global AI products, platforms and partnerships, while also building solutions tailored to the needs of clients and teams across ANZ, combining global scale with local relevance.
