Dentsu strengthens Tourism and Events Queensland team with senior appointments and promotions
dentsu in Queensland has announced a series of strategic appointments and promotions across its Tourism and Events Queensland (TEQ) account, reinforcing its commitment to delivering integrated growth for one of Australia's leading tourism brands.
The enhanced team structure reflects the continued evolution of IMATE (The Industry Media Agency for Tourism and Events in QLD) proposition for TEQ, positioning the agency to further strengthen industry connections, unlock new opportunities and support Queensland’s tourism ambitions.
Leading the team is Integrated Client Lead Emilia Ball, who has been instrumental in shaping and growing the IMATE proposition in her time working on the account over the last 3+ years. In her expanded remit, Ball will oversee the integrated account, continuing to foster collaboration and drive strong outcomes across dentsu’s extended partnership with TEQ.
Further strengthening the IMATE structure, dentsu will welcome Jessica Ruff as Strategic Partnerships Director across IMATE from the 3rd of August. Bringing more than 15 years' experience spanning agency and commercial roles, Ruff will focus on unlocking new opportunities, fostering key stakeholder relationships and strengthening strategic collaboration across Queensland’s tourism and events ecosystem.
Recognising the strength of internal talent, dentsu has also promoted Rachel Knight to Client Partner, while Josh Fick steps into the role of Senior Client Director, reflecting their significant contributions to both the TEQ account and the broader business.
Additional hires are also being made across junior and emerging talent roles, further broadening the team’s capabilities and ensuring a strong pipeline of future talent.
On growing the new team, Emilia Ball, said: “TEQ is an ambitious client, and we’re continuing to evolve our team to match that ambition. By bringing together experienced leadership, strategic partnerships expertise and emerging talent, we’ve developed a team that is even better positioned to deliver integrated solutions that drive meaningful outcomes for both TEQ and Queensland’s broader visitor economy. Jess’ appointment and experience deepen our focus on building strong industry relationships, ensuring we continue to foster the connections that sit at the heart of how our team shows up.”
The appointments reflect dentsu’s continued investment in integrated capability and its commitment to delivering connected, future-focused outcomes for clients in an increasingly complex landscape.
