Emily Cook is Managing Director of dentsu Queensland, leading one of the state's most awarded and people-focused marketing and communications businesses. With nearly two decades of experience across media, marketing and business leadership, she is known for building high-performing teams, trusted client partnerships and creating cultures where remarkable work can thrive. dentsu Queensland has been recognised on the AFR Best Places to Work list for two consecutive years, alongside multiple industry accolades for culture, leadership and its work for clients.
Having built her career across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, Emily returned home to Queensland five years ago and is deeply passionate about the role businesses play in shaping the state's future. She has been recognised through a number of industry accolades, including winning Media Week's Next of the Best Culture Award, being named a finalist in Campaign Asia's Women Leading Change Emerging Leader Awards, and receiving multiple finalist recognitions across client service, people and culture, leadership and workplace excellence categories within Australia's media and marketing industry. Emily is also a graduate of The Marketing Academy, one of the industry's most respected leadership development programs.

Beyond her dentsu leadership role, Emily and her husband own and operate two franchises in Brisbane. As a business owner herself, she understands firsthand the realities of building and growing a business, from managing teams and customers to navigating economic uncertainty and changing consumer behaviours. This perspective gives her a deep empathy for the challenges facing business leaders and a practical understanding of what drives sustainable growth.
