Dentsu Aegis Network is pleased to announce the appointment of Susana Tsui to CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network China as Phil Teeman moves to Singapore after four years in China to become CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network Southeast Asia.

Susana held the role of Regional CEO for PHD and will become CEO for Dentsu Aegis Network’s second largest business globally, and a significant market for growth. Phil takes over from Dick van Motman who became Global and Asia Pacific President of Dentsu creative agencies at the end of 2017.

Commenting on the moves, Nick Waters, CEO Dentsu Aegis Network Asia Pacific said, “We are delighted to bring Susana into the group. She’s an energetic and dynamic agency leader, hugely respected across the region. She has a great diversity of experience at media, digital and advertising agencies, well suited to today’s integrated market.

“We are fortunate to be able to transfer Phil to lead our Southeast Asia business. He is a high caliber leader with a wealth of global experience and will build on our current momentum,” Nick Waters added.

Susana Tsui will join the network in China to drive the business forward and bring the agency brands together through Dentsu Aegis Network’s highly collaborative approach to working with clients.

Susana has held senior leadership roles at agencies such as OgilvyOne, Neo@Ogilvy, and most recently was CEO of PHD Asia Pacific. She was recently named Campaign Asia’s Regional Agency Head of the Year, and has an impressive track record in business growth, client retention and award wins.

Phil Teeman was Managing Director of Dentsu Aegis Network China for three years and most recently became CEO, driving strong growth and collaboration within the Group. He has a long history of client leadership and agency management, and in his new role will work with leadership across Southeast Asia to find growth opportunities through Dentsu Aegis Network’s client centric approach to building brands.

Phil Teeman said, “I’m excited about the possibility of working with the incredibly fast moving and diverse countries in Southeast Asia. The wide range of capabilities and strengths that can be found in our businesses bring huge opportunity for growth. I look forward to working with the teams to bring together those capabilities and provide the best solutions for our clients.”

The moves will be effective in April 2018, both reporting into Nick Waters, CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network Asia Pacific.
