Once again dentsu South Africa demonstrated the power of unity and compassion through our annual One Day for Change initiative. In partnership with Rise Against Hunger Africa, our teams in Johannesburg and Cape Town rolled up their sleeves and showed up with purpose, packing a combined total of 114 boxes of life-changing meals for vulnerable communities across the country.
This year’s theme, “Your impact starts with a meal,” inspired dentsu staff to go above and beyond. The Johannesburg office packed an impressive 24,750 meals, while our Cape Town colleagues led the charge with 26,532 meals, earning them the title of 2025 packing champions!
We extend a heartfelt thank you to every dentsu team member who contributed their time, energy, and spirit this past Wednesday. Your commitment helps make a tangible difference in the lives of children who rely on these meals for daily nourishment.
For many children in South Africa, the meals they receive through Rise Against Hunger Africa are often the only meals they have in a day. These meals are not just about hunger relief, they are a vital part of early childhood development, education, and health. With your help, we have contributed to the growth, learning, and well-being of children across the nation.
From feeding programs in Early Childhood Development centres to sustainable farming projects and emergency food relief, the impact will be felt far beyond these walls. Together, we’re taking bold steps toward a hunger-free future, one meal at a time.
"At dentsu, we are guided by a shared belief in doing work that matters. Our recent partnership with Rise Against Hunger reflects how we dream loud, team without limits, and choose excitement not just in business, but in how we show up for our communities. Each meal packed is a symbol of our commitment to inspire change, be a force for good, and make it real. I am incredibly proud of every one of you who stepped up to lead, climbed high, and helped turn a bold vision into real-world impact,” said Roxana Ravjee, CEO of dentsu South Africa.
Let’s continue to be agents of change. Let’s keep showing up for our communities
