Kirsty Muddle joins as dentsu Creative Group CEO, ANZ
Dentsu ANZ has today announced the appointment of creative industry heavyweight Kirsty Muddle to run the Creative businesses across Australia and New Zealand, which includes agency brands BWM Isobar, dentsuMB and dentsu’s PR agencies. This strategic hire will see Muddle lead the network’s holistic creative agenda across both markets.
After 11 years as a Founding Partner of Cummins&Partners, Kirsty brings an entrepreneurial spirit, leadership style and capability that aligns with dentsu's focus on creating and delivering brave ideas and modern marketing solutions, with impact.
Dentsu ANZ CEO Angela Tangas said, “Kirsty is elite industry talent and will be instrumental in driving our creative offering forward, harnessing the momentum of recent award-winning work and a year of exceptional growth. We are thrilled to have Kirsty join us to lead our high performing team, whilst enhancing our creative culture across the dentsu ANZ Group.
As dentsu bolsters its creative capability globally, Kirsty joins the recent hire of Fred Levron, Global Chief Creative Officer who leads the network’s holistic creative agenda and its portfolio of creative agencies worldwide. Muddle will build on dentsu’s current capabilities and creative heritage in the local market, furthering the group’s transformation efforts already embedded across CXM, Media and Sport via a simplified brand model and go to market strategy.
“I’m humbled to join a creative agency with 25 years of rich heritage and work with such an amazing group of people and portfolio of clients, creating a pathway together for the next phase of dentsu’s creative journey” Muddle states.
This coincides with the conclusion of the BWM earn out which has already seen Rob Belgiovane step away from the business last year. Paul Williams will leave the CEO role at the end of this year, meanwhile Jamie Mackay will continue with the Group in a consulting capacity.
After seven years, BWM has been one of dentsu ANZs most successful acquisitions and the creative business is now primed to bring the best of dentsu to current and future clients and partnerships.
Muddle will join the dentsu ANZ business in 2022.
