Paul Williams is Chief Executive Officer of BWM Dentsu Group, responsible for the strategic direction and growth of the Group’s brands including BWMD, Haystac and Cox Inall Communications. He leads a team of 160 passionate people across creative, strategy, production, public relations, content, social media, indigenous affairs, and government relations.

Paul co-founded BWM in 1996 and merged with dentsu in 2015, BWM is now the longest standing advertising agency in Australian history.

He commenced his advertising career with Ogilvy in London and, at the age of 29, became a partner in the creative agency Weeks Morrison Osborn. After the agency’s sale to DMBB, Paul became the youngest managing director in the worldwide network.

With almost 40 years’ experience working in advertising, Paul is widely recognised as a thought leader in Australia’s creative industry. His career has seen him work with some of the world’s largest brands including Unilever, Procter & Gamble, CIO, American Express, Mastercard, Qantas, Telstra, Westpac and AAMI.

Paul studied at London University studying French and Italian Literature, with a specific focus on Existentialism. He is a rugby tragic, even more of a guitar nut and thinks he’s a way better skier than he really is.
