dentsu China appoints Terrence Yung to lead its Media service line.

Today dentsu China has announced that Terrence Yung has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer for the Media service line reporting jointly to Michelle Lau, CEO, dentsu China and Peter Huijboom, CEO Media & Global Clients. 

In his new role as CEO, Terrence will oversee dentsu’s Media offering as well as working closely with the dentsu’s global media leadership team to implement client centric, industry-leading capabilities.

Client centricity is high on his agenda. In his previous role as Chief Operating Officer, Terrence was responsible for leading operational excellence and transformation initiatives with a strong client focus. As the Client President leading the integrated team for the Coca-Cola account, Terrence drove best practice and delivered consistently high performance. He has over 26 years of communications industry expertise and senior client partnership experience.

Before joining dentsu, he was the Vice President of ZenithOptimedia China where he managed some of the agency's blue-chip clients, and new business wins, including L'Oreal Group, LVMH, Kering Group, P&G, Lexus, Toyota and Mengniu. 

Terrence will succeed Tony Chen, who is stepping down to spend more time with his family. During his tenure, Tony carried out the important task of transforming the Media service line to a more integrated, simplified and competitive offering designed to meet the evolving needs of our clients. Under his leadership, dentsu media China enjoyed a standout year for new business including the cornerstone wins of Nestle, McDonald's and Vitasoy.
