Dentsu China appoints two COOs to boost transformation & growth

Continuing its focus on leading the group's integration, transformation and operational excellence, Dentsu China today announced the appointment of Nicole Wang to the role of Chief Operating Officer, Media, and Elvis Liu, as Chief Operating Officer, Dentsu Creative.

Nicole reports directly to CEO of dentsu Media China, and Elvis reports to CEO of Dentsu Creative China. Both sit under Sheldon Xu, Dentsu China’s Chief Operating Officer, who leads the groups transformation programs critical to delivering integrated client solutions across Media, Creative and CXM.  The newly appointment Chief Operating Officers will work closely with their respective direct reports, to support Deric Wong, CEO of Dentsu China.


With over 25 years’ experience in advertising and media, Nicole Wang is a well-respected leader in the industry. She joined dentsu in 2016 as Managing Director, Vizeum, where under her leadership - Vizeum China doubled its growth with British luxury brand Burberry, Japanese cosmetic giant Shiseido and scored numerous new accounts that included Jaguar Land Rover and Bosch. She was later appointed to lead China’s KSF (Master Kong) Noodle account, adding to her diverse client portfolio. In 2021, Nicole was appointed Head of Operations and Commercial for dentsu’s media brands and was key to the development of dentsu’s transformative media organisational design and infrastructure.

Elvis brings deep experience across significant operational practices, as well as M&A, eCommerce, CRM and ERP built from a career spanning over 20-years in advertising and media, management consulting and high-tech industries. Empowered by strategy and effective operational implementation, Elvis has helped international and local businesses and brands drive digital and operational transformation in categories including luxury, pharmaceuticals and consumer goods - delivering tangible business growth and enhanced operational excellence. Prior to joining dentsu, Elvis was responsible for business development in marketing operations and sales operations at Accenture China.
