Dentsu Aegis Network announces new management structure in Singapore

Published on:

Dentsu Aegis Network today announced its new management structure in Singapore to further enhance the networks capabilities and to capitalise on its unique operating model of one P&L per country. The changes, that will take immediate effect, complete the process of creating a unified management structure across all markets in Asia Pacific.

Rosalynn Tay, Chief Executive Officer of Dentsu Singapore, will take on the newly-created position of CEO for Dentsu Aegis Network Singapore, steering the operation across eight of its network brands. Audrey Kuah, previously CEO for Aegis Media Singapore, will move into an expanded role as Chief Client Officer for Dentsu Aegis Network Southeast Asia focussing on client development for non-Japanese clients. Both will report into Dick van Motman, Chairman and CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network Southeast Asia.

Tay, who will continue to lead the operations for Dentsu Singapore, joined the agency in June 2013. She was able to turn Dentsu Singapore around during her nineteen months tenure, retaining blue chip Japanese clients, whilst adding prestigious local clients. The last six months alone have seen many new wins across the public and private sectors including The Singapore Navy and Land Transport Authority.

Kuah, who joined Aegis Media Singapore as CEO in October 2011, was instrumental in steering the Aegis Media business in Singapore towards double digit growth. As well as focussing on international client development for non-Japanese clients, Kuah will take a leading role in the network’s marketing efforts in Southeast Asia and will be closely involved in identifying and developing new business opportunities – working closely with Dick van Motman.

Meanwhile, James Hawkins will add to his responsibilities at Dentsu Möbius by taking on the role of President of Dentsu’s Digital Capabilities in South- and Southeast Asia. Hawkins, who founded Dentsu Möbius a little over two years ago, has successfully built the agency into an innovative regional business that puts digital at the heart of marketing. Hawkins will use his expertise to strengthen and grow Dentsu’s digital capabilities in both of these sub regions.

Commenting on the new appointments, Dick van Motman added, “As a regional leader it is always satisfying to notice that all the right people are already on board and that implementing a new structure is only a matter of putting talent in the right place. Audrey Kuah has been instrumental in growing the Aegis Media business over the last years. To be able to appoint a CCO like this and use her expertise to develop new business opportunities in order to innovate the way brands are built in Southeast Asia is an absolute privilege.”

“Over the last eighteen months, Rosalynn Tay has aggressively driven her business to be one of the most highly contested agencies in Singapore. Her management capabilities to transform a business have earned her trust and recognition in the industry, and I am confident that she will excel in her new role.”

“The same goes for James Hawkins who has been over delivering with Mobius for the past two years. I’m looking forward to seeing him take his collaborative and pioneering attitude regional in order to ensure that Dentsu’s digital capabilities will continue to be leading. We are blessed with a strong team and I’m eyeing the future with great confidence.”
