Dentsu Aegis Network Acquires Majority Stake In Brazil's NBS Agency

Acquisition of One of Brazil’s Leading Independent Full-Service Advertising Agencies 

Dentsu Aegis Network, the first truly global communications network for the digital age, today announces that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire a majority stake in PPR Profissionais de Publicidade Reunidos S/A, the official name of the NBS advertising agency. 

Full-service agency NBS is the 14th largest advertising agency in Brazil, based on billings, according to leading Latin American research agency Ibope Monitor. Established in 2002 and employing more than 380 staff across its multiple offices in Brazil, NBS has a strong portfolio of clients spanning various industry sectors, including Bob’s (food retail), BomNegócio.com (online), Coca-Cola (Crystal water and i9), CCAA (education), O Boticário (cosmetics), Oi (telecom), BR Distribuidora and Petrobras (energy).

Dentsu Aegis Network continues to strengthen its full-service footprint in Brazil, adding further expertise to an established network of brands including O AgênciaClick Isobar, Age Isobar, LOV, Dentsu Brazil, iProspect, Amnet and Copernicus. This acquisition will significantly increase Dentsu Aegis Network’s brand presence locally and will grow the Brazilian team to more than 1000 professionals and approximately 100 clients.

Completion of the acquisition is subject to mandatory regulatory approval of Brazil’s competition authority, as well as the satisfaction of other customary closing conditions.
