The famed “Twosday” – the 22nd February of 2022 marked the award ceremony of the “Female Frontier Awards” in London. Campaign magazine’s “Female Frontier Awards” is an annual initiative, celebrating boundary-bending women in the spheres of marketing, advertising, media, and technology.

The Awards aim to champion women whose consistent efforts challenge the status-quo within these industries and whose motivation to do more makes them stand out. In 2022, the “Female Frontier Awards” in the received a total of 180 entries from sixty companies. Of all nominees, sixty-three women and eight companies were shortlisted and attended the ceremony.

The event was held at The Brewery London – a venue in the heart of London, occupying the building of a former 18th century brewery. This unique setting created an awesome environment by marrying 18th century architecture with contemporary tech to provide a great experience for all attendees.

Walking into The Brewery you’re met by a huge hall, hosting all attendees, and making one feel proud of being there - to be part of the Awards, to show support for all women present and share the excitement. It felt awesome to be surrounded by so many like-minded people, paving the way for women across many different industries.

To further these feelings, the event included two panel sessions, which created a great conversation space for two topics of paramount importance in the industry. We heard experts discussing trends and career development on the topics of encouraging better equality in the workplace and depicting real women in advertisements.

Some of the main points highlighted in both panels were the need for visibility of women, education and empathy and authentic conversations on these topics.

After the rich context and food for thought provided by the panel discussions came time for the award ceremony. The awards were handed by comedian and writer Laura Lexx, who made sure all nominees and winners were presented equally and created a light-hearted environment.

Thirteen winners were announced and came up to the stage to receive their award. The energy in the room was extremely welcoming and supporting – a feeling I believe all attendees shared.

Congratulations to all finalists and winners in the 2022 Female Frontier Awards! It was extremely motivating and invigorating to be part of the finalists, meet likeminded ladies and see the smiles on all awarded extraordinary women.

I believe such events have a great effect on propelling women to consistently push boundaries, encourage more inclusive environments and secure a seat at the table for women in business and in the world.

All brilliant professionals I met are definitely ones I will be following and felt truly honored to be among them.
