Dentsu today announced the appointment of Prerna Mehrotra as Chief Client Officer, APAC & CEO, Singapore, bringing one of the network’s most experienced regional leaders to the market to lead its next chapter. Mehrotra takes on the expanded role as Prakash Kamdar, CEO, Clients & Solutions, Southeast Asia, and CEO, Singapore, leaves after an accomplished 15-year tenure.

Singapore is an important market for dentsu and its clients, home to regional and global decision-makers, major industry hubs and many of APAC’s leading brands. Strengthening dentsu Singapore gives the network a clearer bridge between established markets and some of Asia’s fastest-growing economies, helping global capability move into the region while allowing ideas and expertise from Asia to travel further.

“Singapore plays an important role for dentsu as a strong local market and a place where many clients shape their regional priorities. We want to build on that position by bringing the best of dentsu together around the work that matters most for our clients and our people,” said Yuichi Toyoda, CEO, APAC, dentsu. “Prerna brings deep regional experience, a strong client perspective and a genuine understanding of our people, culture and capabilities. Over the last 10 years she has built trusted relationships across our business and with our clients, positioning her well to connect the strengths of our Singapore team with opportunities across the region. We are excited to see her lead the business into its next chapter.”

“I’d like to thank Prakash for his commitment and dedication to our business, our teams and our clients over the past 15 years. The strongest reflection of what Prakash has built is that we can make this transition with clarity about where we are going and confidence in the people who will take us there. He has played an important role in building dentsu’s business in Singapore and Southeast Asia,” added Toyoda

Mehrotra has spent the past decade at dentsu, including the last three years as Chief Client Officer, APAC, alongside her role as CEO, Media, APAC. Her experience spans some of the network’s largest clients and markets, giving her a deep understanding of dentsu’s capabilities, its people and the changing needs of clients across the region.

Prerna Mehrotra said: “I have worked alongside the Singapore team for the last seven years and admire the business Prakash and the team have built. My focus now is on building on those foundations, continuing to deepen our client partnerships, bringing together the full breadth of our local and regional capabilities and creating new opportunities for growth and innovation. Singapore has a unique and important role within our network and I am excited about what we can achieve together. My ambition is for dentsu Singapore to be a place where exceptional talent can thrive, where clients see us as their most trusted growth partner, and where the ideas, creativity and expertise we develop here create impact not only for Singapore, but across the region and beyond.”

Kamdar leaves having led a significant chapter for dentsu in Singapore and across Southeast Asia. He joined dentsu through the acquisition of his digital agency, The Upper Storey, in 2011, which launched Isobar in Singapore. He was appointed CEO, Singapore in September 2019 and went on to hold leadership roles across Singapore, Indonesia and Southeast Asia. Most recently, he served as CEO, Clients & Solutions, Southeast Asia. During his seven years leading Singapore, Kamdar helped steer the business through significant transformation, bringing capabilities closer together and strengthening the leadership depth and foundations from which the business will continue to develop.

Prakash Kamdar said: “I have had the privilege of leading our Singapore business through different phases of transformation in an industry that rarely stands still. Together with our people, we have navigated periods of resilience, defining moments and some of the strongest years for the network in Singapore. I am proud of how the business has pushed boundaries and evolved and even more proud of where it stands today and the potential it has for tomorrow. I am deeply grateful to our people, clients and partners who have been part of that journey and will remain a proud friend of dentsu.”

The appointment is effective 1 October 2026.
