While the pandemic is not over, as the virus becomes less threatening to people than it once was, consumer sentiment appears to have leveled off across a number of factors. For months now, consumer concern for health risks and future variants have remained steady. 6 in 10 Americans believe there already is or will be a recession and the number of consumers resigned that their financial situation won’t improve anytime soon has grown. Budgeting measures are in effect in most American households.
