dentsumcgarrybowen Montreal announces three new promotions

Montreal, Canada – (March 17, 2022) – Julien Thiry and Michael Aronson have been named Executive Creative Directors for dentsumcgarrybowen Canada. With years of experience working with a wide range of local, national, and international brands, the creative duo will actively collaborate in the growth of brands such as Arterra Wines Canada and Manulife, for which they will act as creative directors for all Americas communications activities.

Jean-François Lalande has been named Associate Vice-President, Client Management. During his time with dentsumcgarrybowen over the past three years, Jean-François has distinguished himself through his sharp strategic thinking and creative spirit within several brands such as Parkland (Ultramar), EBOX, Yakult, Fujitsu and Dare (Breton, Bear Paws and Whippet). The sum of these experiences has allowed him to generate real opportunities for the agency and our clients while actively collaborating in the development of business for the Montreal office.

These nominations conclude a year full of achievements for dentsumcgarrybowen, which once again signed an international campaign in collaboration with one of its Japanese clients. This time, the campaign was created for the Japanese brand Yakult, a probiotic yogurt drink distributed worldwide. The Yakult brand has a rich history spanning over 80 years. The client contacted dentsumcgarrybowen to assist in its first global effort to consolidate the perception of the beverage's benefits to the overall health of its consumers. Targeting nearly 40 different markets around the world, the message is an ode to wellness through various scenes depicting the rhythm of life for people around the world.

"In the midst of the pandemic, we had to bring the world to us and recreate locations from key markets, like South America, India, Thailand and Europe," explains Julien Thiry. "We had to be creative to make sure that these global locations were properly represented."

The campaign was first launched in Japan via the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics, and then internationally in the days that followed.
