Anna Lungley

Chief Sustainability Officer, International markets, dentsu

Anna Lungley joined dentsu international in 2019 bringing over 25 years experience leading strategy, sustainability and corporate affairs for multi-national listed companies. As Chief Sustainability Officer she created and developed Dentsu Group’s ambitious 2030 ‘Social Impact’ strategy, including the Net Zero strategy and transformation programme. In her role she continues to lead the development of the group-wide sustainability strategy as well as directing implementation across 145 markets, functions and service lines outside Japan. Anna is a member of the Dentsu Group global management team and the Dentsu Group Sustainability Committee.

In addition to her role at dentsu, Anna is a Senior Associate at the Cambridge Institute of Sustainability Leadership and member of faculty for the Prince of Wales Business and Sustainability Programme in the United Kingdom and Singapore. She is also a member of the Business Commission to Tackle Inequality and sits on advisory boards including Sustainable Brands and AdNetZero. Anna has been recognised for her contribution to sustainable development winning the ‘Changing Lives’ award at the Broadband World Forum, the World Economic Forum’s ‘New Vision for Development’ award, Business Green’s ‘Sustainability Team of the Year’ and Grand Prix’s at the World Media Awards and The Drum Awards for the groundbreaking “Draw The Line against Malaria” global advocacy campaign.

Anna joined dentsu in 2018 from BT Group where she spent 15 years in leadership roles including Director of Sustainable Business and Connected Society Global Programme Director and was also an advisor to the UK government on digital inclusion. Anna started her career at Brodeur Worldwide, part of the Omnicom Group, where she led global PR campaigns for brands including Nortel Networks, Philips and Vodafone.
