Matthew Higgins, Managing Partner for Addressable Media & Total Commerce at dentsu, has been shortlisted for Retail Media Person of the Year at the Retail Media X Awards 2025. Celebrating the best in European retail media, the RMX awards recognises standout networks, campaigns, teams, technologies and individuals. 

Matt has been the driving force behind dentsu’s retail media successes – not just in the UK, but globally. A true pioneer in retail media, Matt has earned a prominent voice in the industry and his thinking of retail media as a ‘media environment’ has enabled clients to unlock new levels of performance and driven real business impact across markets.  

Having developed a Maturity Framework that has revolutionised how dentsu approaches retail media for its clients, Matt’s innovative thinking has positioned dentsu at the forefront of the retail media revolution.  

He was also one of the first contributors to SKAI’s Retail Media Thursdays, and his thought leadership now extends to high-profile speaking engagements with industry leaders including IAB and MAD//FEST, where his presentations have reached over 450+ professionals. As well as being an active and insightful voice on LinkedIn, his overarching tone is always one of positivity. In the last 12 months alone, Matt has reached over 30,000 LinkedIn members, from 140,000 individual impressions.   

With retail media being one of the fastest growing and most disruptive sectors in advertising, it is a significant achievement to be recognised for individual excellence. Matt’s leadership, innovation and impact is setting the bar for others in this space. In summary, well done Matt!
