We are delighted to share our 2019 Social Impact results.

Climate change, biodiversity loss and inequality are global megatrends reshaping our world. In 2019 we saw a significant increase in both awareness and activity across all stakeholder groups, with employees, investors, clients and consumers all calling for change. Business and brands have no choice but to respond. Our industry is no exception. The impact of Covid-19 is likely to be profound and long-lasting. It is also likely to lead to a 'reset' of society's future priorities and the interconnections between business, society and government.

We’re sharing our skills and capabilities with young people from diverse backgrounds and supporting them to find careers in our industry. Our goal is to improve the digital skills of 100,000 people by the end of 2020.

Tomorrow's leaders

We’re mentoring entrepreneurs and change makers to build successful, diverse and inclusive businesses. Our goal is to mentor 100 female entrepreneurs by the end of 2020.

We’re transforming the role of businesses and brands to deliver better outcomes for society. Our goal is to reach 1 billion people through campaigns related to the Sustainable Development Goals by the end of 2020.

The Code

We're opening the doors of our industry to the next generation. The Code teaches young people the skills they need to thrive in the digital economy. 

Rise Up

Rise Up is our digital challenge designed to unlock the emerging marketing potential in young people. The annual competition is open to 15 to 18 year olds, offering them the chance to develop a marketing campaign that tackles an issue in society which is close to their heart.

RE100

Our environment strategy

We're aiming to reduce our carbon footprint by 40% per full-time employee by the end of 2020. And we have set a Science-Based Target to reduce our emissions even further by 2030.

We've committed to purchasing 100% of our electricity from renewable sources by 2020, which we have now achieved.

Our aim is to reduce our business travel by 25% per full-time employee by the end of the end of 2020. And we're working with clients to find ways to further reduce our impact together.
