Unique initiative connects brands with Pinterest and dentsu UK specialists to drive business and personal growth

Dentsu UK&I and Pinterest today announce they have teamed up to offer brands an exclusive initiative designed to boost their performance on the visual inspiration platform - to deliver business growth, whilst providing clients’ teams with specialist training to become certified Pinterest experts.

The exclusive collaboration represents the first time Pinterest has partnered with a UK agency network in this way.

Carat UK client Wickes is among the first brands to pilot the new initiative called Nexus - a unique, free of charge, one year support programme which includes a tailored Pinterest growth plan developed by dentsu and Pinterest experts that focuses on each partner’s bespoke objectives and challenges to maximise success through advertising the platform.

Nexus partners will be first to test new Pinterest tools and have access to a host of specialist support including Pinterest Creative Shop and a dedicated measurement steering group comprising industry leading experts from Pinterest, Lumen and dentsu, to provide guidance around measuring success and advanced measurement practices - including dentsu’s market-leading proprietary effective attention tool, powered by Lumen.

In addition, Nexus offers partners a wide-ranging education programme delivered by specialists at both dentsu and Pinterest to develop their teams’ understanding of Pinterest and the wider social landscape, as well as training across creative, tech and measurement. Individuals will have the opportunity to become Pinterest certified through the platform’s recently announced Pinterest Academy.

Chris Howard, Managing Director, Performance Media, dentsu UK said: “At dentsu we’re passionate about performance, learning and innovating with our platform partners to drive growth for our clients. This exclusive collaboration with Pinterest offers a truly unique opportunity for brands to tap into expertise across both dentsu and Pinterest for free, helping them to maximise success on the platform through best-in-class strategy, creative, media optimisation and measurement, whilst boosting their teams’ skills with Pinterest Academy accreditation.”

Carli Gooch, Head of UK Agency, Pinterest said: “Pinterest has an incredibly unique proposition for brands, from the commercial intent of our users to the accuracy of our trend predictions, and the positive environment we’re deliberately building - that we know encourages purchase behaviour. As marketing budgets across the board are being squeezed, it’s more important than ever for brands to deliver campaigns that will have genuine impact and ultimately drive sales. We’re delighted to partner with Dentsu to help clients inspire and engage their audiences on Pinterest.”

Gemma Lovell, Social Media Marketing Manager, Wickes said: “With Pinterest being a key social channel for Wickes, we're always looking for ways to test and learn to elevate our activity on the platform. We are excited to be part of dentsu and Pinterest’s Nexus programme this year which will allow us to do this alongside market leading experts, as well as be guided by bespoke insights designed to help us meet business objectives.”
