Mike McCoy named as CEO of Vizeum UK
Dentsu Aegis Network today announces the appointment of Mike McCoy as chief executive for the UK arm of its global media agency, Vizeum.
McCoy will lead the agency in continuing its long-held tradition of offering clients some of the best strategic thinking in the media industry. He brings a reputation for excellent client service alongside the ability to develop deep, meaningful content partnerships that will help the agency’s portfolio of clients to grow, which includes AB InBev, Burger King, Camelot, IKEA, Shop Direct, and TSB.
He will report directly to Matthew Platts, Executive Director – Media & Performance, Dentsu Aegis Network UK & Ireland.
McCoy returns to Vizeum having started his career there when he joined Dentsu Aegis Network in its previous guise as Aegis Media in 2000. In 12 years at the agency he rose from being a buyer in the TV department to the role of managing partner at Vizeum UK before completing a two-year stint at the global agency’s LA office.
Most recently he has played a key role in the leadership team at Amplifi as managing director and launched The Story Lab as a premium content offering in the UK as executive director. This included playing a pivotal role in investing, developing and distributing IP globally to huge success, starting with the international roll out of Ninja Warriors in 2014.
